# Models

List the models available to an API key and use the returned IDs in requests.

Call the model list endpoint:

The returned `id` is the model name to use in subsequent requests.

## Recommendations

- Use model IDs from the model list for text, image, and audio requests.
- Populate model selectors dynamically when possible.
- If a model is unavailable, verify that the current API key has access to it.
- Read the model-specific page before sending optional parameters because supported fields vary by model.
