The API Reference covers model discovery, text generation, images, audio, files, embeddings, reranking, moderation, and account usage.

How to read the reference

An endpoint page normally includes:
  • HTTP method and path
  • Authentication requirements
  • Request parameters
  • Request examples
  • Response fields
  • Common status codes
Start with the interface family in the navigation, then open the endpoint that matches your workload.

Before making a request

Prepare an API key:
When you are unsure which model ID to use, call the model list endpoint and use the returned id in the model field.

Copy API context for AI tools

Endpoint pages can be copied as Markdown. You can also append .md to a page path to retrieve its Markdown representation. This makes it possible to give the complete endpoint context to Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or another tool that generates integration code. The English API endpoint catalog is being expanded in the same route structure as the Chinese reference. The compatibility contract, paths, field names, and code examples remain identical between languages.
