Kaien API Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-10
How we protect your information
Kaien API respects your privacy. We collect personal information for clear purposes, keep the scope as narrow as possible, ask for consent when the law requires it, and use security measures to protect it.
This Policy explains what we may collect, why we use it, when it may be shared or handled by service providers, how we store and protect it, and what choices you have.
Please read this Policy before you register, sign in, top up, create an API key, or use Kaien API services.
Information we collect
When you register or sign in, we may collect your username, mobile number, email address, third-party login status, and other account information needed to create and secure your account.
If verification is needed, we may collect identity or enterprise materials, including your name, identity document information, phone number, company name, company address, unified social credit code, business license information, and authorized contact details.
For paid services, we may process balance records, top-up records, consumption records, orders, invoices, payment proof, transaction IDs, refunds, and dispute materials.
When you use the website, console, Playground, image generation, API services, or customer support, we may process request metadata, login and operation logs, device and browser information, IP address, approximate region, API usage records, error logs, and support messages.
If a product or feature needs information not listed here, we will explain what is needed and why before collecting it, and obtain consent where the law requires it.
How we use information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, verify identity, protect account and transaction security, process API requests, calculate usage, handle top-ups and invoices, provide support, fix issues, and meet legal obligations.
We may use your contact information to send verification codes, service notices, balance or resource alerts, security reminders, order updates, policy updates, and support messages.
Where allowed by law, we may send product updates, activity notices, or commercial messages. We will provide an unsubscribe or opt-out method when required.
We may use de-identified or aggregated statistics to analyze reliability, improve products, develop features, and publish operational or product insights. These statistics do not identify you personally.
When consent is not required
Where permitted by law, we may process personal information without separate consent for national security, public security, public health, major public interests, criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, judgment enforcement, or other statutory duties.
Separate consent may also not be required when the processing is needed to protect life, health, or property in an emergency; perform a contract you requested; keep the service safe and stable; handle information you made public; or use information from lawful public sources.
Entrusted processing, sharing, transfer, and disclosure
Some functions depend on payment, cloud infrastructure, security, customer support, analytics, or similar service providers. We require them to process personal information only under our instructions and with confidentiality and security obligations.
We do not share your personal information with unrelated parties unless you authorize it, the law or a competent authority requires it, it is needed to provide the service you requested, it follows an agreement or platform rule you accepted, or it protects account security, transaction security, public safety, or lawful rights.
If Kaien API is involved in a merger, division, acquisition, asset transfer, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, we will require the new holder of personal information to continue following this Policy. If it changes the processing purpose or method, it must obtain consent again where required by law.
We will publicly disclose personal information only with your explicit consent or when required by law, legal procedure, litigation, or a competent authority.
Storage, protection, and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, and protect lawful rights. If the law requires a specific retention period, we follow it.
We use access control, permission separation, appropriate encryption, audit records, and multi-factor or risk-based verification to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, leakage, alteration, or loss.
No internet service is completely secure. If a personal information security incident occurs, we will handle it under the law and notify affected users or competent authorities when required.
If you request deletion or close your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information according to law and platform rules. Records that must be kept for legal, security, audit, or dispute purposes may remain for the necessary period.
Before requesting deletion or account closure, please back up any records you need for your own business, accounting, audit, compliance, or dispute handling.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, improve page performance, maintain service security, and understand basic usage patterns.
You may manage or reject cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if necessary cookies or local storage are disabled.
Your rights
Where the law allows, you may access, copy, correct, supplement, or delete your personal information. You may also withdraw consent for optional processing, request account deletion, or contact us about how your information is handled.
You can manage some account information through the console or personal settings page. If you cannot complete a request there, contact customer support or submit a support request.
For security, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request. We will respond within the period required by law, or within a reasonable period if no fixed deadline applies.
We may refuse requests that are malicious, repeated without reason, technically excessive, harmful to others' lawful rights, related to national security or public interests, required to be retained by law, or involving trade secrets or other protected information.
Minors
Kaien API services are mainly intended for adults and enterprise or developer users. Minors should not create an account or use the service without consent from a parent or legal guardian.
If we discover that we collected a minor's personal information without required guardian consent, we will delete or anonymize it as soon as reasonably possible.
Cross-border transfer
Personal information collected and generated in the People's Republic of China will generally be stored in China. If cross-border transfer is needed, we will follow applicable legal requirements and obtain separate consent where required.
Policy updates and contact
We may update this Policy when laws, services, processing purposes, information types, sharing methods, security responsibilities, or contact channels change. Updated versions will be published on the website, console, or relevant page.
For major changes, we will use a more prominent notice where required, such as website prompts, console notices, email, SMS, or other reasonable methods.
If you have questions, complaints, or requests about this Policy or personal information protection, contact Kaien API customer support through the platform support channel.
